BPC-157 (Body Protection Compound-157) is a synthetic pentadecapeptide derived from a partial amino acid sequence of the endogenous Body Protection Compound (BPC), a protein identified in human gastric secretions. Endogenous BPC has been associated with physiological processes involved in gastrointestinal mucosal integrity and tissue responses to injury.

BPC-157 has been investigated primarily in non-clinical and preclinical experimental models for its potential biological activity related to cytoprotection, angiogenesis, and tissue repair. At present, BPC-157 is not included on the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG) and is not approved by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) for the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, or cure of any disease or medical condition.
