FOR RESEARCH USE ONLY
Intended Use: This product is supplied strictly for laboratory research use only. Not for human or veterinary use.
Epithalon is a synthetic tetrapeptide (Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly) modeled after a peptide fragment derived from epithalamin, a pineal gland extract. It has been investigated for its role in regulation of cellular aging processes and neuroendocrine function. Epithalon is reported to influence telomerase activity and telomere length maintenance through modulation of gene expression and chromatin structure, as well as to affect circadian rhythm regulation via interactions with pineal and hypothalamic signaling pathways. In preclinical and limited clinical research settings, it has been studied for its effects on cellular replicative capacity, oxidative stress responses, immune function, and age-associated changes in endocrine and metabolic regulation.
Epithalon has been investigated primarily in non-clinical, preclinical, and limited early clinical research settings for its interaction with circadian regulation, neuroendocrine signalling, and cellular processes. At present, Epithalon is not included on the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG) and is not approved by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) for the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, or cure of any disease or medical condition.
